HARP
The concert harp, the largest representative of its kind, is even one of the largest and heaviest orchestral instruments, standing 175-190 cm tall and usually weighing 34-42 kg. Although rich in tradition and history, it also contributes to many interesting timbres of new music.
Basel Sinfonietta is raising money to purchase a new harp worth 50’000 CHF. Our harpists Estelle Costanzo and Julia Wacker are looking forward to let the new instrument sound soon. You can contribute directly with a smaller or larger donation to the purchase of this beautiful instrument.
